Volunteer History

4th Year Representative | Biomedical Engineering Course Union
September 2018Â - April 2019
I present to you the 2018-2019 Biomedical Engineering Course Union (BeCU). Multiple events were made possible by this group of people including myself. Some highlights include trips available for Biomedical Engineering student to St. Michael's Hospital's and Mount Sinai Hospital's rehabilitation facilities. With these trips, we showcased various medical devices used in rehabilitation and inspired students in our field to innovate. Furthermore, we catered to the needs of the students by implementing tutorials for MATLAB and Arduino, and providing exam and course reviews and peer-to-peer study sessions.

Mentor | Ryerson Tri-Mentoring Program
September 2017 - April 2019
I have been fortunate enough in my first year of studies to have the guidance of my academic link through residence and student life that I have decided to give back and let others experience the true student life the way I did. Ryerson Tri-Mentoring program gave me the opportunity to give guidance and advice to those experiencing the situations and struggles that I've had in university. In my third year and fourth year, I have had the privilege of meeting and advising two incredibly driven, bubbly, and outstanding biomedical engineering students at Ryerson. Currently, one just finished her second year and was a part of both Biomedical Engineering Course Union and  IEEE RBC and the other just finished her first year and was actively attending various events provided by Women in Engineering and First Year Engineering Office. I could not have been more proud of these girls and I hope to stay in touch with them and I wish them all the best with their success.

VP Communications | Biomedical Engineering Course Union
January 2017 - April 2018
I give to you the 2017 - 2018 Biomedical Course Union (BeCU) during Frosh week. This course union originally started with only 5 members in January of 2017. During this time, I was in charge of marketing by making posters and keeping a constant social media presence and contacting and collaborating with other student groups and student unions to put our name on the map. This gave me a first hand experience in managing budget while still providing students a worth it event that will help them grow in univ.
